Space School is a FREE three day residential course introducing students in year 10 to Space Science and Engineering. It will be held at St Paul’s School, London from Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 July 2024.
The course is organised and run in partnership between St Paul’s School and . It brings to life the complex and diverse subject of space science through a series of workshops and lectures led by academics and industry experts. The course will demonstrate the importance of the field across the sciences, engineering and technology.
This unique course is open to 30 non-fee paying school students from across the UK in year 10 or equivalent and is entirely free to attend. A maximum of three students from any one school will be selected. Places will be allocated on the basis of simple application forms requiring short statements from both student and nominating teacher. As this course takes place during term time approval must be given by the student’s school, otherwise they cannot attend. We particularly encourage students with a keen interest in STEM and space science to apply.
For the application to be fully considered both students and their nominating teacher must complete their respective application forms linked below. The deadline for application is midnight Thursday 2 May 2024, applications received after this date will not be considered. Successful applicants will be informed of their place by 17 May 2024.
For those ineligible or unable to attend do not worry, there will also be a virtual element to this summer school open to all who are interested in which we will live stream the lectures from the school. Details of this and how to sign up will be shared in March.
